Lets come together this saturday for the only Groovebox party in 2012. Since I moved Berlin there have not been many possibilities to team up in Reykjavik and throw this party. Looking forward to see you.

I did a new mixtape in January. It’s a vinyl only mix including many of my all time favorites. The records are from the years 1996 to 2006, but most of the tracks are actually from the year 2000. The idea, in the first place was to make a mix tape only with music from this particular year, but somehow I didn’t find all the records I was looking for. So instead, I found some other good stuff to go in the mix, of course, no problem. Thanks to Ewok for taking care of the recording and for feeding me with chocolate and cold water while mixing, it was getting very hot in the studio. Continue reading
Before I moved to Berlin three years ago, I used to organise and promote regular parties and spin records with couple of good friends in Reykjavík under the name Groovebox. Now another party is taking place on Saturday, in a new place called Risið. I’m very glad that we are going on with this event because it was a very good vibe and I have many good memories from these party’s. This will be a family event because my brother, Pétur will be spinning records with us. He came to visit me couple of months ago and he spend a couple of bucks in the records shops. Continue reading
